There is one thing I keep coming back to as I build SportsFX, CB3, and The Currency Advantage. It is not my background as a former athlete. It is not the partnerships. It is not the access or the deals or even the currency knowledge.
It is something much simpler.
My willingness to share everything.
Not the polished version. The real one. The honest version. The part most people in finance and business keep hidden because they think secrecy is the strength that sets them apart.
Every year I am in business, I realise it is actually the opposite.
People trust the person who tells the truth
When I started sharing the behind the scenes of my work. The client stories. The mistakes. The wins. The decision to move countries. The structure behind the brands. The thinking behind forward contracts. The details of how we protect athlete income. The honest conversations with clients. Everything changed.
People started reading more. Calling more. Asking more questions. Referring more clients. Not because I was selling harder. But because I was being real.
Most people never get that look inside the process. They get the surface level. They get the highlight reel. They get the brochure.
Sharing the full picture is rare. And rare gets attention.
Authenticity scales in a way marketing never will
You cannot fake lived experience. You cannot fake honesty. And you cannot fake the commitment to show people how you actually operate.
That is why The Currency Advantage has grown the way it has. Why it sits in the top 30 percent of Beehiiv for open rates. Why the stories resonate. Why athletes, agents, expats, property buyers, and business owners all read it even though they are from completely different worlds.
