Sounds strange right?

Business is going well. A podcast sitting at 15,000 views. Partnerships with FIFPRO, PFA, RLPA. A meeting with MLS next week. A product live with a real athlete already signed up.

And I still woke up this week feeling stuck.

Not ungrateful. Not unhappy. Just... unclear.

I've been posting 2-3 times a day across Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube for years. Multiple handles, multiple businesses, multiple messages. SportsFX. CB3. Athlete Newsletter. LvlUp. AgentBrewhouse. Thailand. Dubai. Football with Charlie.

All real. All happening. All at once.

And somewhere in all of that noise I lost the thread.

Here's what actually hit me today.

I have 5,000 LinkedIn followers. Three years of daily posting. My best ever post got 120 likes.

My newsletter goes to 450 people. 250 of them open it every single week. Without fail. Without an algorithm deciding who sees it.

I own those 250 people's attention in a way I will never own my LinkedIn following.

And half of them didn't even subscribe. I added them manually after we worked together.

Imagine what that number looks like when people actually seek it out.

That realisation changed something for me today.

So here's what I'm doing. And I'm sharing it publicly because that's the whole point of this newsletter from here on.

I'm stopping the treadmill.

No more X. No more TikTok. No more YouTube grind. No more posting twice a day to an algorithm that gives me 21 views on an FX infographic I spent an hour making.

Instead I'm going to write. Properly. Honestly. About everything.

SportsFX and what it's actually like managing £1B+ in athlete currency transfers from a laptop in Thailand. Athlete Newsletter and why I genuinely believe every pro athlete should own their audience before their career ends. AgentBrewhouse and what we're building on the Hedera network with AI agents. LvlUp and why Charlie inspired me to build a gamified homeschool platform. The move to Dubai that got derailed by geopolitics. The alcohol free reset. The padel. The Sunday football.

All of it. One newsletter. My actual life.

Because here's the thing — “I've been living an interesting life and underreporting it.”

This newsletter is changing.

Same Beehiiv. New name coming soon. New feel. But the same honesty that got 250 of you opening it every week.

If you're here for the FX content — it's still coming. One piece a week. Real cases, plain English, no jargon.

If you're here for something else — good. Stay. It's about to get more interesting.

And if you're an athlete reading this wondering what Athlete Newsletter actually is — reply to this email. I'll tell you personally.

That's where I'm at.

More next week.

Chris
